Challenge 136 - My Favourite Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp!

This weeks Kraftin' Kimmie Blog Challenge was such a tough one!  We were asked to make a card with our favourite Kraftin' Kimmie stamp.  How do I choose just one?!  I use the Annie Rodrigue stamps almost exclusively as I LOVE to colour.  After MUCH consideration, I chose Voodoo Lady.  I have only coloured her once before for a Christmas Card (yeah, I'm unconventional like that) and have been wanting to colour her again.

In other super exciting news, Kraftin Kimmie posted a Guest Designer Call on their blog!!  I have been working on my submission card and will just die if I get the spot.  There is some tough competition out there, namely my bff and fellow stamper Aaemie Ali.  Wish me luck!

Challenge 135 - White on White

I jumped head first into this week's Kraftin' Kimmie Blog Challange.  I have wanted to do a white on white card for some time but never worked up the nerve.  I also tried no-line colouring for the first time.

I LOVE how both turned out!  It is certainly a challenge to only use white paper but it forced me to get really creative and use my neglected embossing folders.

I also think that I have produced the best colouring I have ever done and am very pleased with how the card turned out.

I am SUPER excited for the Kraftin' Kimmie Guest Designer call and can't wait to get started on my submission!

Stamps:  Bella (Kraftin' Kimmie), Thanks - So Happy For You Sentiments (Stampin' Up), Double Vision Background (Ditto)

I don't know how to take off that white highlighting as it is so random but maybe I'll figure it out soon.  At the very least, I've listed my supplies like a real card maker :)

I See A Mega-Babe Lookin' At Me

"Wouldn't it be powerful if you fell in love with yourself so deeply that you would do just about anything if you knew it would make you happy?  This is precisely how much life loves you and wants you to nurture yourself.  The deeper you love yourself, the more the universe will affirm your worth.  Then you can enjoy a lifelong love affair that brings you the richest fulfillment from inside out." ~ Alan Cohen

I stumbled upon this quote by Alan Cohen, life coach and author of Chicken Soup for the Soul.  It really spoke to me since I've been feeling mighty sorry for myself lately.  I wanted to focus this post on the things that I LOVE about myself.  To remind myself that I'm not so bad :)

1.  My eyebrows are legendary
Seriously.  Look at those things!  I love how thick they are and they have the perfect arch.  I get compliments on them all the time.  Only Liana at JC Salons is allowed near them :)

2.  I LOVE my green eyes.
I am the only one in my family with green eyes and I have always felt special because of it.  Green is the least common eye colour and at certain times mine are SUPER green.  Like shining emeralds.

3.  I have great boobs
My girls are pretty awesome and have always been good to me.  Through thick and thin (read: fat and skinny) they have maintained their shape, size and volume and they look awesome in shirts.  To quote one of my all-time favourite shows:  "They are real and they are magnificent!"

4.  I'm Hella Creative
I make stuff.  Cool stuff and it is super nice and people always want me to make things for them.  Cards, balloons, jewelry, clothing, any old thing you can make with your own hands, I do it.

5.  I have a great sense of humour
I'm funny.  And even tho Adam Corolla doesn't think so, girls can be funny.  I do funny shit and say funny shit all the time.  I also laugh a lot.  Sometimes I find something so funny that I laugh myself to tears.  I will also find the same things funny over and over again.  Like this picture of Samuel L. Jackson on a banana phone or
this guy on the Leviathan.  Look at that face!  I can't handle it and I bet neither can you now that I've shown it to you.  Funny?  Oh yes my friend.

6.  I am a great friend
I am the reliable one.  I help my friends out of tough spots, plan birthday parties and celebrate special occasions.  Babysit kids and give gifts and cards just because.  My friends may not always appreciate it or reciprocate my awesomeness, but that's ok.  I know I'm the shit :)

7.  I can sing like a mofo!
That's me.  Singing like a BOSS.  I love to sing and if I had a re-do in life would probably try harder to make a career of it.  It is one of the few times that I'm free as a gd bird.  Now, I'm a damn good karaoke star.  Funny that the only pic I have of me singing is 5 years old and at a place that doesn't exist any more but dang!  That girl is fit :)

8.  I have the best dogs EVER!

Seriously.  Look at them.  I don't even have to say anything.  I raised them up good.

9.  My brain is super-powered
Yup.  I'm smart.  S-M-A-R-T.  I was in the gifted class in grade school and high school and got awesome marks in university.  I read books.  Lots of them.  And I can have an educated discussion like nobody's business.

10.  I am committed to living a healthy lifestyle
I got some plans for my future.  Some of which include being a cougar and living a long-ass life.  That's why I work-out, eat healthy, drink lots of H2O and limit my partying to once and a while.

Now that I've reached number ten, I realize that I could think of ten more things that I like about myself.  I ain't so bad, you know?  I have to train myself to think of all these awesome things when I start to get all "I'm so fat and ugly and stupid" because I'm not.  I am pretty darn awesome.  If I do say so myself :)
